Parish Pastoral Council                                       

The Parish Council    is the primary consultative body in the parish. The purpose of the council is to advise the pastor in all areas of parish life and to provide vision and direction with the pastor. It sets policies and oversees the operations of the parish.

Any parish member is welcome and encouraged to attend the Parish Council meetings. The next Parish Council meeting will be No Meeting in July, next meeting is  Tuesday August 17, 2010 7:00 PM. Meetings are held in the conference room located in the basement of the Church. Use the North West side door into the Church, go down the steps, at the bottom go to your left and at the end of the hallway you will find the conference room.

There are fifteen elected members of the Parish Council. Any registered parishioner is eligible and elections are held the second Sunday in May.

Besides the Saint Anne School Board and Saint Mary High School representative, the Parish Council operates through the following standing committees:

*    Activities      Works to bring the parish community together in friendship.

*   Building and Maintenance     Assures the good condition of all parish properties.

*    Communication       Provides ways of keeping parishioners informed of happenings in the parish.

*    Finance    Assists the Pastor in the financial affairs of the parish.

*    Liturgy    Plans and coordinates the liturgies as well as recruiting and training the liturgical ministers.

*    Outreach     Reaches out to all parishioners with love and concern, attentive to their special need.

*    Personnel     Assures that parish employees are treated fairly.

*   Religious Education Evangelization   Recommends, promotes and evaluates the religious education programs for the parish.

*   Stewardship    Plans and promotes opportunities for parishioners to effectively use their unique gifts of time, talent and treasurers.
